Driving into Sportsman's World, you'll notice a palpable sense of pride and renewed confidence that our community is rebuilding quickly.  One year after the P.K. Complex Fire, the land is healing and the lake is humming with weekend boaters. 

The drive into the community on West Hell's Gate Drive now emulates the feel of a more traditional Texas ranch land than the cedar-lined roadway it was.  A profusion of new builders' signs announce the rebuilding of 27 homes, plus 4 new ones in less than a year.  In fact, many residents are building back bigger and better than before.  The average rebuild is 66% larger than the structure that was destroyed in the fire...a visible sign that Sportsman's World is still a highly desirable area in which to live and to play.
