Burn ban lifted for Ranch areas
Effective October 11, 2011, Palo Pinto County has lifted the burn ban to allow burning of tree and brush piles. Please note that this applies only to the Ranch areas within Sportsman's World. Click here to view the Ranch burn policy and permit application.

Enjoy the art exhibit featuring works in oils, watercolor, pastels and more, now on display at the Breckinridge Fine Arts Center through Feb. 11. Arte de los Brazos, our P.K. juried art festival, is represented with work by Sportsman's World's own Bob McCormick. Think gaudy! Think glitzy! And you have Mardi Gras at PK. The big parade down Bourbon Street (Park Rd. 36) starts at 3 p.m., featuring Sportsman's World's own James & Gail Smith as King Possum and Queen Carp. At 6 p.m. it's the Shrimp Peel at the PK Chamber of Commerce, with live music and awards for best costumes and best parade floats. Tickets and all the Mardi Gras finery will be available at the PK Chamber in late February.
Come be a part of the 3rd annual Arte de los Brazos art festival at P.K., showcasing award-winning North Texas artists who create oil, pastel, acrylic and watercolor pieces with a Texas or Western theme. Demonstrations and seminars will be held throughout the week, and you can purchase unique pieces.
