Building and improvements New home construction and improvements to your existing home require approval by the Architectural Control Committee (ACC). Additional restrictions are imposed on certain waterfront properties by the Brazos River Authority. Submit the appropriate form below, along with required documentation, before beginning construction. SWPO Building Codes & Restrictions for construction in the residential areas. SWPO Application for Building Permit - New home construction, as well as improvements to an existing home, including additions, garages, patios, decks, fences, driveways or boat docks, requires approval by the ACC. SWROA Building Codes & Restrictions for construction in the ranchlands. SWROA Application for Building Permit - New residential or commercial construction, as well as improvements to existing structures, including fences, walls, barns and drainage facilities, requires approval by the Ranch ACC. SWROA Burn Policy & Permit - Burning to dispose of brush, trees, grasses, leaves, debris or other is permitted in the ranch areas only and requires approval by the Ranch ACC. Changes in property designation Changes in property designation, such as re-platting, are subject to the following: Re-platting - Re-platting multiple lots or tracts into a single property must be approved by the Palo Pinto County Commissioners' Court. Land Use Change Request Form - Changes in land use in the residential areas require approval by the Land Use Board. Road use Roads within the development are funded by your annual assessment and maintained by Sportsman’s World Recreational Association. We ask your help in keeping the roads from deterioration.
